So I went against my daughter's edict – that she would divorce me if I ever stooped to Internet dating – and I stooped to Internet dating. I spent/wasted an evening filling out a "personality profile," kind of like a Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory – used to assess mental illness – for the lonely- hearted. When someone checks "never" in response to questions about drinking or smoking, it's a safe bet that A) She follows a religion that forbids drinking and smoking; B) She takes medication or has a medical condition that prohibits drinking; or C) She is a recovering addict or alcoholic. I am sure there is some logarithm at eHarmony that shows my chances will increase more if I loosen my drinking standard. read more
